When
Baker and Petrolite merged, they weren't sure how to market
the new company. In my interview with the president, he remarked
that potential customers were always surprised by the breadth
of capabilities. So I suggested a campaign that played off
this - The Surprising Company. This is the brochure we put
out.

Energy Chemicals, Baker Petrolite, Chevron Chemicals, Pilko
& Associates, Provident Services (funeral homes), the San Jacinto
Paper Mill, and others. |

gear oil
No product is too arcane to be promoted -- this brochure for
Exxon sells extreme-pressure industrial gear oil. I've written
about everything from drilling tongs to petrochemical process
additives, from pile drivers to PCs, from seismic processing
to supply-chain management. |

Great
little brochures for Mom & Pop
You don't have to be a high-dollar company to benefit from
the work I do. I designed the three-fold brochure
on Estate Sale Management so they could use inexpensive preprinted
stock from Paper Direct. And I put together the little pro-bono
piece for the American Congregational Association so they
could print from a PDF file to any printer using plain paper.
